See It, Save It

Where You’ll BE

The Birthright Earth experience is an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the rain forest. We have hand-selected eco-lodges, field research projects, and areas of abundant flora and fauna for our trips. Each day presents travelers with an interactive, engaging, and, often times, jarring portrait of environmental existence in the Amazon.

On these trips you will see rare species unique to this area including speckled caimans, anacondas, two-toed sloths, capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, iguana, and a host of bird species including Jacana birds, Kingfishers, short-tailed hawks, and Nightjars.

On paddle canoe trips you will experience the wonder of the Igapo flooded forests of the Amazon where you will see the massive Brazil Nut, Capoka, and Araba trees that make up the rain forest canopy.

You will have the opportunity to go on long hikes with guides through the primary rain forest. These are areas still untouched by human hand, that look the same today as they did thousands of years ago. You will also see what these areas look like after they are burned for cattle ranching – a truly harrowing sight.

During the evenings and on certain days, you will hear lectures from resident researchers and guides about the state of the Amazon and what is being done to counter deforestation and biodiversity loss. These lectures will come in the form of round table discussions with a project screen at lodges and also will occur during tours of sustainability projects currently operating in the Amazon.

On your final day, regardless of what area of the Amazon your specific trip has visited, you will be able to make your own positive impact by planting a tree in a reforestation project.

These trips are designed to be a constant stream of excitement, education, and immersion. You will return moved and amazed by everything you have seen and experienced.
